Pastor Michael Hunt

Michael had the privilege of growing up in a good Christian home. He attended a thriving, Bible-believing church where he was faithfully taught the Word of God. Although he had made a profession of faith as a young boy, he knew in his heart that he wasn’t truly saved. One evening at church when he was thirteen years old, the pastor said that so many young people leave the church as they get older because their relationship with God was not real and personal. The Holy Spirit used that to convict Michael’s heart about his need for salvation, so that night he went home and gave his life to Christ! For the first time, it felt like the burden of the sin he had carried was completely lifted. It wasn’t long after that God stirred Michael’s heart for the ministry, and he surrendered his life to preach.

After graduating from high school, Michael attended Bible college. It was there that he met his wife, Jenny.

After completing their four year degrees, they were married in the summer of 2011. They served in their local church for 2 years as a bus captain, church secretary, and assisting in the youth ministry. In 2013 they moved to Pennsylvania where Michael served as an assistant pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In 2015 Michael answered God’s leading to pastor Heritage Baptist Church in Manheim PA. They served there for seven years and saw the Lord do a great work in saving souls and adding people to the church.

Through a unique set of circumstances, the Lord directed and facilitated the merging of Heritage Baptist Church in Manheim with Trinity Baptist Church of Lititz in October of 2022. It was a tremendous blessing to see how the Lord blessed and prospered this step of faith. Both churches were strengthened in the process and the work of God continues to move forward in that community.

About a year later, the people of Community Baptist Church were in search of a pastor and asked Michael to fill that position.

After much prayer and filling the pulpit for the church over a number of months, God gave peace that it was the next step God wanted he and his family to take.

They moved to Westminster in October of 2023. They are thankful for the opportunity to serve at Community Baptist Church and excited about the great things God has in store for the future!
